Dr. Rosemary Papa [aka Papa-Lewis] is the Executive Director and Founder of Educational Leaders Without Borders, Emeritus Professor of Educational Leadership & The Del and Jewel Lewis Endowed Chair in Learning Centered Leadership, Northern Arizona University 2007-2018 and Emeritus Professor of Leadership, California State University, Sacramento & Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning. She has held Principal/Chief School Administrator in K-12, served as CSU system level Assistant Vice Chancellor, California State University, Vice President for Sylvan Learning, Professor, and Founder of several joint doctoral programs between the University of California and the California State University System. She was the first women president of NCPEA/ICPEL in 1992. In 2012, she was the recipient of the Arizona School Administrators Outstanding Higher Education Administrator of the Year Award, was named a Living Legend by the International Council of Professors of Educational Leadership in 2003 and received the 2015 Willystine Goodsell Award for research on education of women and children by the American Educational Research Association’s, special interest group for research on women, and the Creighton Publishing Award 2021. In 2022 she was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the University of West Attica, Athens, Greece. She is the Founder of one of the first online open access, referred journals in the world, the Journal of Education Policy (eJEP founded1999-2000). Dr. Papa has published dozens of referred articles in academic journals, presented and invited internationally at numerous world-wide conferences and has written over 30 books on social justice leadership, technology leadership, school violence, etc., and serves as a Senior Editor for Oxford University Press, Encyclopedia of Educational Administration.
Dr. Fenwick W. English is Co-Founder and currently professor and associate dean of Florida Golf Coast University. Formerly he spent 17 years as the R. Wendell Eaves Distinguished Professor of Educational Leadership at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is past President of UCEA (2006-07) University Council of Educational Administration) and of NCPEA (2011-12) which is now ICPEL (International Council of Professors of Educational Leadership). He has presented his research at UCEA, AERA, NCPEA and overseas at BELMAS (British Educational Leadership and Management Association Society); CCEAM (Commonwealth Council of Education Administration and Management) and AARE (Australian Association of Research in Education). As a practitioner, Dr. English as served as a middle school principal and superintendent of schools as well as in the private sector a partner( principal) in KPMG Peat Marwick in Washington, D.C. In higher education he has been a department chair, dean of a school of education, and vice-chancellor of academic affairs (provost) at Purdue University Fort Wayne, Indiana. He co-founded the refereed academic journal The International Journal of Educational Reform in 1992. He also served as General Editor of the 2006 two volume SAGE Encyclopedia of Educational Leadership and Administration and two editions of the SAGE Handbook of Educational Leadership: Advances in Theory, Research and Practice in 2005 and 2011. Over a thirty year period he has published over 42 books and dozens of book chapters and refereed papers.
Dr. Ric Brown served 6 years as the Chief Academic Officer (Provost/ Vice President for Academic Affairs) at California State University, Sacramento until his retirement in 2007. In addition to being a professor for over 30 years, he also held the positions of Associate Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research at Sacramento State and Director of University Grants and Research at California State University, Fresno. He holds a doctorate from the University of Houston in Educational Psychology with specialties in research, statistics and measurement. His academic areas include statistics, research, measurement, and evaluation. He has published and presented extensively, both nationally and internationally, including the areas of leadership, teaching effectiveness, student evaluation of instruction, locus of control and self-efficacy. He has co-authored books on higher education administration published in fall, 2008; one in 2013 regarding effective educational leadership and his most recent book involves effective online teaching (2017). He continues to do test reviews for Buros Mental Measurement online and his most recent writings include Taking the Magic Out of Algorithms for the 2021 Springer book Artificial Intelligence, Human Agency and Educational Leader and co-author for Necessary Components for Meaningful Results in Educational Leadership and Administration in the 2021 Oxford Encyclopedia of Educational Administration. Over the past 15 years, he has served as adjunct faculty at Northern Arizona University teaching beginning and intermediate statistics, research methods and higher education online and hybrid; Soka University of America teaching educational psychology; and currently at St John’s University of New York teaching educational research methods and dissertation seminar online. He has been involved in NCPEA, now ICPEL, for over 30 years as a participant, presenter, journal reviewer and received their Living Legend award in August of 2022.
Autumn Tooms Cyprès. With roots in public education as a former high school STEM teacher and principal, Autumn Tooms Cyprès has leveraged her experiences as a practitioner and researcher of innovation and organizational change in service to partnerships between universities and k12 school systems. She is recognized internationally for her books, service leadership, and articles focused on the reality of leadership practice and the ways that large political discourses affect the learning environments and the preparation of educators. Autumn has been an academic for 20 years and has served several Research-Intensive institutions in both faculty and administrative roles. From 2002-2010 she represented Kent State University in collaboration with The College of The Bahamas to create, implement, and manage the first master’s degree program Educational Administration in the history of The Bahamas. Her research has received awards and recognition from The Journal of Cases, Educational Administration Quarterly, and the National Association of Secondary School Principals.
She is the past president of the University Council for Educational Administration (2009-2012) and the Past President of the International Council of Professors of Educational Leadership (2015-2018). She currently serves as the Founding Dean of the West Virginia University College of Applied Human Sciences, which houses the School of Education, the School of Counseling and Well Being, and the School of Sports Sciences.
She is the past president of the University Council for Educational Administration (2009-2012) and the Past President of the International Council of Professors of Educational Leadership (2015-2018). She currently serves as the Founding Dean of the West Virginia University College of Applied Human Sciences, which houses the School of Education, the School of Counseling and Well Being, and the School of Sports Sciences.
Dr. Daniel Wayne Eadens is currently an Associate Professor and the former Coordinator of the MA, MEd, Modified Core, EdS, and Executive EdD programs in the Educational Leadership and Higher Education department in the College of Community Innovation and Education at the University of Central Florida. He is the president-elect of The International Council of Professors of Educational Leadership. Dr. Eadens was most recently the Assistant Department Chair, Study Abroad Coordinator, and tenured Associate Professor of Educational Leadership at Northern Arizona University. In his early career, he taught Elementary School Music, Middle School Special Education Math and Science and was a Behavior Specialist and Administrator at several Florida public schools. He is an Army Reserve “Major” with foreign service in Japan and Iraq. He passionately researches the most Critical Issues in Education, remains active in professional associations and research, co-edited Papa, Eadens, & Eadens, (2016), Social Justice Instruction: Empowerment on the Chalkboard, and has Peer-Reviewed Articles, Chapters, Grants, International Presentations, Online Professional Publication newsletters, Book Reviews, Proceedings, Editorship of Professional Journals, State Conference Presentations, and Invited Keynote Addresses and Professional Development Workshops. Dr. Daniel Eadens has three sons and lives in Orlando, Florida.
Dr. Stacey Edmonson is Dean of the College of Education at Sam Houston State University. In addition to 10 years as Dean, throughout her 31 years in Texas education she has served the College of Education as department chair, doctoral director, and professor of Educational Leadership at Sam Houston State University as well as a teacher, principal, and central office administrator in Texas public schools. She currently chairs the Higher Education Committee for the Texas Association of School Administrators and was selected in 2018 to serve on the State Board of Education’s Long-Range Plan Steering Committee for Texas. She recently served as President of the Teacher Education Council for State Colleges and Universities (TECSCU), President of the Texas Association of Colleges of Teacher Education (TACTE), site team chair for the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP), and is a current board member of the American Association of Colleges of Teacher Education (AACTE). She earned a BA in English from Texas A&M University and MEd and EdD in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University-Commerce. She has published six books and 91 peer-reviewed articles on topics including trust, stress and burnout among educators, legal issues in education, and educator ethics; she has also served as principal investigator on more than $13.5 million in competitive external grant funding.
Dr. Francisca, N. Ogba is a Lecturer in the Department of Educational Management and Planning, Faculty Of Education, Alex Ekwume Federal University Ndufu-Alke, Ebonyi State, Nigeria (AE:FUNAI) . She was a one-time HOD of Department of Educational Foundations and now Dean Faculty of Education. Dr. F.N. Ogba has contributed to numerous book chapters and has published many journal articles in high ranked journals, both in national and internal journals. She is the Editor in- Chief AE-FUNAI Journal of Education (AE-FUNAI JOE). Once the Review Editor, Ebonyi State College of Education, Ikwo, Journal of Educational Research, Editor, Journal of Women in Colleges of Education. presently, one of the Editors with Unizik Journal of Educational Research and Policy Studies (UNIJERPS). Dr. F.N. Ogba is a fellow of Gender Studies Association of Nigeria. She has received many awards from students such are: Award of Excellency by Education Students of Alex Ekwume Federal University Ndufu-Alke, Ebonyi State, Nigeria (AE: FUNAI), Award of Honour by Great Leaders Forum of Nigeria students. Her research interests comprise Management of Human and Material resources, Leadership in Higher Education, Gender issues in Education, Student Engagement, Entrepreneurship, Inclusive Education, Information Communication and Technology (ICT). Dr. Francisca, N. Ogba is a member Council of the Commonwealth for Educational Administration and Management, Educational Leadership Without Borders, Nigerian Association of Educational Administration and Planning, Curriculum Organization of Nigeria, Nigeria Gender Association. International Council of Educational Professors.
Dr Anna Saiti, is a Professor of Management and Economics of Education, and Associate Department head of the Department of Early Childhood Education and Care, School of Administrative, Economics & Social Sciences, University of West Attica, Athens, Greece. She is the Director of the Lab Leadership & Innovation of the School of Administrative, Economics & Social sciences at the University of West Attica. She is a member in the Executive Board of International Council of Professors in Educational Leadership (ICPEL). Her research interests focus on Educational Leadership, management and economics of education and health as well as the labor market. She is the author of six books (in Greek), four books in English published by Springer and Routledge publication, one book in English published by Lulu publishing (ICPEL). She has written several articles regarding management and economics of education and health care published by international scientific journals. She has participated in several international conferences, and she was involved in an applied international research project associated with School leadership and equity. She is an active member in International Scientific Organizations. She was involved as the scientific head in a project on health economics and she was an Associate Scientific Head in a scientific project associated with labor market and professional well-beings of employees (organizational behavior), as well as in the project of the University of West Attica regarding the training of school educators in distance learning education, co-financed by the Greek State and the European Union. She is also an Assistant Editor of the Journal: International Journal of Leadership in Education (Taylor & Francis) and member of the Editorial Board of the journal Research in Educational Administration and Leadership. Moreover, her papers and books have been cited by many Greek and foreign researchers.
Dr. Connie Ruhl-Smith is an experienced educational leader with extensive background in the study of K-12 schools, post-secondary student success, and international student growth in varied university settings. Connie holds the BS, MS, and Ph.D. from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. As a published scholar and frequent presenter at national conferences, Dr. Ruhl-Smith is known for her deep insights into the complex world of student degree attainment and the myriad factors required to allow said success to come to fruition. Her current work at Eastern Michigan University is dedicated to international development, with targeted attention to alumni giving around the globe, as well as obtaining corporate support for the university's growing international population now emanating from more than 80 different countries. Connie is the spouse of EMU President James M. Smith and, thus, resides with Dr. Smith at University House on the Eastern Michigan University campus.
Dr. James M. Smith, a career educator, is the 23rd president of Eastern Michigan University. In his four years at EMU, he has focused on supporting student success, building academic strength, ensuring equity and inclusion and increasing the University’s international footprint. His leadership has helped lead to the construction of important academic facilities that prepare students for high-demand careers. Those include Strong Hall; the third and final phase of EMU’s Science Complex, the renovation of Sill Hall, home of the newly launched College of Engineering and Technology; and the renovation of the Rackham Building to accommodate expanding health programs. President Smith’s emphasis on one of Eastern’s defining elements – its character as a welcoming and diverse campus – was underscored by his formation of the President’s Commission on Diversity and Inclusion. Before joining Eastern Michigan, Smith served as president of Northern State University (NSU) in Aberdeen, South Dakota from 2009 to 2016. He grew up near Columbus, Ohio, in Washington Court House, and knew early on he wanted to be a teacher. He became an elementary and middle school teacher after earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education, from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, in 1979. He would go on to earn a Master of Education, Educational Administration, from Xavier University in Cincinnati and a Doctor of Philosophy, Educational Leadership, from Miami University. Over the next 28 years, he served in a variety of academic and administrative roles, including as an elementary school principal, professor and finally vice president for Economic Development at Bowling Green State University before heading to NSU.
